Description

Sellick Bridge is an accommodation bridge that carries a track over the Grand Western Canal. The canal was established under an Act of 1796, and the section in Halberton was completed in 1814. The bridge is constructed of brick with conglomerate stone coping and features an elliptical arch. It has a moulded brick string course and round-headed coping stones on the parapet, with a course of blue bricks beneath. The brick piers are built in English bond.
