Description

No. 22 on Fore Street in Bradninch is a house dating from around 1840, part of a long row of similar buildings. It is constructed of cob with a stone plinth and is plastered, topped with a dry-slate roof. The house has two storeys and features a symmetrical front with a three-window arrangement. On the first floor, there are two-light horned sash windows, with one window on each side of a central porch. The porch has a moulded canopy supported by console brackets, along with incised pilasters and panelled reveals. There is a gutter box on brackets. Although there has been no internal inspection, No. 22 may contain earlier features and is an attractive small early 19th-century town house in its own right.
