Description
No 11 is a house located on Brook Street in Bampton, dating from the early 19th century. The building is colourwashed and stuccoed, likely built from stone rubble, and has a slate roof that is gabled at both ends with stacks at the ends. The plan is almost symmetrical, featuring a central entrance that leads to two front rooms. The exterior has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front. The central entrance includes a 20th-century front door with a rectangular fanlight, framed by a decorative doorcase with reeded pilasters and a cornice. The first floor has 19th-century 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features 19th-century 16-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely that contemporary features are still present.
