Description
No. 9 St Lawrence Green is a shop with accommodation above, likely built in the 1850s. It is constructed of painted Flemish bond brick and has a slate roof with a brick stack at the right end. The building has three storeys and features a one-window front with deep eaves supported by paired moulded eaves brackets. Each of the first and second floors has a 19th-century 16-pane sash window. The late 19th-century shop front spans almost the entire width of the building, with a plain pilaster on the right and matching pilasters flanking the doorcase at the right end. It has a plain fascia and a moulded cornice. The door is half-glazed, featuring nine panes above a moulded panel in the lower half, along with a three-pane overlight. The shop window includes three high transomed lights with glazing bars above the transom, with the center light being slightly wider. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
