Description
5 St Lawrence Green is a house built around the 1860s, possibly replacing an earlier structure. The building is stuccoed, with the left end covered in corrugated iron, indicating a framed construction. It features a gabled slate roof and a right end stack with brick shafts. The house has three storeys and an asymmetrical two-bay front, similar to the adjacent No 6. It has deep eaves supported by moulded, paired eaves brackets. The windows are regularly spaced, with platbands at the first and second floor levels. The 19th-century front door is located to the left and has two vertical panels set in a round-headed doorway with a plain fanlight above. The ground floor has one window, and there are two windows on each of the upper storeys, all of which are two-pane horned sashes with margin panes. The interior has not been inspected but may be of interest. The house is included for its group value with surrounding buildings.
