Description

The building is a former stable, now converted into a store, located 8 metres north-east of Hayne Barton Farmhouse. It dates from the mid to late 19th century and features cob and stone footings, with some repairs made using 20th-century brick and breeze-block. The roof is slate and hipped at both ends. The structure is two storeys tall and is set at an eccentric angle, projecting into the farmyard and facing north-west. There are two doorways on the ground floor, which are now blocked and converted into windows. Above, there is a hayloft with a loading bay and three 20th-century windows that have been converted from original storey-high openings. This building is part of a planned single-phase farmyard and is included for its group value.
