Description
This building is a store, originally a stable, located approximately 4 metres south-west of Savourys. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and is constructed from plastered cob on rubble footings, topped with a thatched roof. The structure consists of a single room that served as stables, with a hayloft above and a narrower addition on the south-east end. The north-west facing end wall features a ground floor door and a hayloft loading hatch beneath a half-hipped roof. The long south-west facing front has a plain two-light window on the left and a plank door leading to the extension on the right end, which has a hipped roof. Inside, there are plain carpentry details, and the roof is supported by an A-frame truss with a lap-jointed collar and X-apex. This store forms a group with Savourys.
