CHAWLEIGH Store approximately 4 metres south-west of Savourys.

GV II

Store, former stable. C18 and C19. Plastered cob on rubble footings; thatch roof. Single room former stables with hayloft over with narrower addition on south-east end. North-west facing end wall has ground floor door and hayloft loading hatch under half-hipped end to roof. Long south-west facing front has plain two-light window to left and plank door to extension at right end. Extension has hipped roof. Interior has plain carpentry detail. Roof of A-frame truss with lap-jointed collar and X-apex. Forms a group with Savourys (q.v.).
