Description
The Hill is a house, likely built in the late 17th century, constructed of stuccoed stone rubble. It features a thatched roof, with slate covering the right end bay. There is a brick stack at the right end and a rear lateral stack that heats the right-hand room. The house has a two-room plan with a staircase located at the rear of a central passage, and the upper storey extends over a carriage entrance at the right end.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a four-window range. The windows are 19th-century three-light casements, each with four panes per light. A 19th-century porch with a gabled patterned slate roof leads to the outer gate, which has gothic-style open tracery. There are double plank doors at the right end that provide access to the carriage entrance. The Hill shares an identical plan with the adjoining Hill House (East). The interior has not been inspected.
