Description
This is a pig-house, likely from the 18th century, located approximately 15 meters west of Neopardy Cottages in Crediton Hamlets. It is constructed of partly plastered cob on volcanic rubble footings and features a wheat reed thatched roof. The building is a small single-storey structure with a wide central entrance on the north side, supported by an oak lintel. The roof is half-hipped on the right side and gabled on the left, with the gable being weather-boarded and containing pigeon holes. Inside, there is a 3-bay roof made of roughly finished A-frame trusses with pegged lap-jointed collars. This pig-house is included for its group value.
