Description
This is a cob boundary wall located between Number 32 (not included) and Four Mills Lane in Crediton. It dates from the late 18th century or earlier. The wall is constructed of cob and stone, featuring a corrugated iron coping that likely replaced thatch. It stands about 3.5 meters high on a plinth made of local volcanic rubble stone. The red cob, typical of the Crediton area, is mostly unrendered, with only two small sections that are rendered. The wall curves to follow the road's line and is associated with a raised pavement. It is included for its group value.
