Description
No. 102 High Street is a house, partly used as an office, likely dating from the late 18th century. It has a roughcast exterior and an asbestos slate roof that has replaced the original natural slate. The building features a left end stack with a brick shaft that has banding and old pots. The plan is double depth, one room wide, with an entrance located to the right.
The exterior is three storeys high with a one-window front that has regular fenestration. To the right, there is a late 19th-century doorcase with plain pilasters and large paired moulded brackets, which are gabled at the top, situated on either side of the cornice. The entrance features a four-panel door with panelled reveals and a plain overlight. Each floor has tripartite sashes, with 6/9-pane sashes in the centre and 2/3-pane sashes in the outer lights. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain interesting features.
