Description
This is a house located at 101 High Street in Crediton, built around 1800, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. The building is plastered and has a slate roof, with brick stacks at the right end and a left end stack. It has a double depth plan, featuring two rooms wide with a central entrance.
The exterior is three storeys high and has a slightly asymmetrical two-bay front. It features deep eaves supported by moulded eaves brackets and a platband at the second floor level. The front door, which is glazed, dates from the 20th century. On the ground floor, the right window is a 20-pane flush frame sash, while the left window, positioned slightly higher, is also a flush frame but has a late 19th or early 20th century 2-pane sash. On the first floor, the right window is a 16-pane sash, and the left window is a taller 8/12-pane sash. There are also two first floor 3/9-pane top-hung casements. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
