Description
No. 104 High Street is a shop with accommodation above, originally built in the mid to late 18th century, with a shopfront added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick and has a slate roof with a brick chimney stack.
The exterior features three storeys and a small one-bay front with regular window arrangement. The ground floor is entirely taken up by the shop front. To the left of the centre, there is one window on both the first and second floors, each with gauged flat brick arches and fitted with late 18th or early 19th century 16-pane sash windows. The shop front is symmetrical, flanked by pilasters, and includes a fascia and cornice. The shop windows are canted towards a glazed door that has a low panel and a two-pane overlight, with two-light shop windows featuring high transoms and moulded sills.
The interior has not been inspected but may still contain features of interest.
