Description

This is a late 18th-century headstone made of freestone, located about 1 metre east of the chancel of the Church of All Saints. The rectangular headstone features a scratch-moulded border and commemorates Francis Foort, who was a rector and died in 1761. It displays good lettering and includes a long eulogy highlighting Foort's qualities, stating, "In private life he was a rare example of his religion/which he judiciously inculcated in his public office."
