Description
Huntsham War Memorial is a First World War memorial that was erected after 1918. It is made of granite and features a rough-hewn Latin cross on a three-stepped octagonal base. The east faces of the base are smooth and display lead lettering inscriptions. The top step of the base reads: "THIS CROSS WAS / ERECTED IN REMEMBRANCE / OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH / WHO SERVED IN THE / GREAT WAR, / 1914 – 1918." The step below is inscribed with "AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF" followed by six names, while the bottom step lists three additional names followed by "WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING & COUNTRY."
