Description

This is a cottage, likely originating in the 18th century and later modernized in the 20th century. It may have originally been two cottages. The walls are plastered cob on rubble footings, with some areas of cob or rubble topped with 20th-century brick, and the roof is thatched. The cottage follows a three-room plan with a central entrance lobby. A stack projects from the right (south) end. There are 20th-century extensions to the left (north) end.

The main, gable-ended block has a three-window facade with late 19th and 20th-century casement windows, most of which have glazing bars. Three 20th-century buttresses break up the frontage. A late 19th-century four-panel door with a glazed upper section is centrally located, and to the left is a 20th-century French window. Both doors are sheltered by a monopitch pent roof supported on simple timber posts and the left-side buttress. The interior has been partially rearranged and modernized in the 20th century, obscuring much of the original structure. The roof was not inspected.
