Description
Bolham Cottage is a former school house, now a residential property, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of stucco with a dry slate roof and features rendered brick end stacks topped with louvred clay pots. It has a double-depth plan, likely consisting of two rooms at the front on either side of a central entrance hall, along with a later lean-to on the left side.
The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front, showcasing original 16-pane hornless sash windows. The central doorway is topped by a cobweb fanlight and leads to a six-panel door that has flush bottom panels and later glazed top panels. A wooden Tuscan porch with a moulded entablature enhances the entrance. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
