Description

This building is a barn, originally used for threshing, located 15 metres north of Shepherd's Farmhouse. It likely dates from the 17th century and is constructed from random rubble chert with some cob below the eaves line. The roof is hipped and covered with corrugated iron. The barn features opposed entrances and has some stone and brick buttresses. Inside, there are four jointed crucks with Alcock type F2 apex carpentry, with the cruck posts resting directly on the ground and halved collars.
