Description
129 High Street is a shop with accommodation above, likely dating from the late 18th century, with a shop front added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick and has a slate roof with a brick chimney stack. It is three storeys tall and features a three-bay front with deep eaves that include a moulded cornice supported by paired brackets. The ground floor showcases an attractive Art Nouveau shop front, which has a high transomed plate glass window that curves upwards in the centre. The first floor has three original 18th-century 12-pane sash windows, each with gauged flat brick arches and keyblocks, and there are three similar windows on the second floor. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
