Description
This is a cartshed and apple store built in the late 19th century, located approximately 10 metres southeast of Knowle Farmhouse. The structure is made of cob on rubble footings and part snecked volcanic stone, topped with a wheat reed thatched roof. It is a long, low building that is open-fronted and faces east, featuring four wide bays separated by wooden posts. The northern bay is enclosed with a weatherboarded front that includes a 20th-century door. The roof is hipped on the left side and gable-ended on the right. The right end wall, which faces the farmhouse, is constructed of snecked volcanic stone with a weatherboarded gable. Inside, there is an 8-bay roof supported by tie-beam trusses.
