Description
Goblin Hill Cottage is a small cottage built around 1870-1880. It is constructed from volcanic rubble with cream-coloured machine brick and features a rendered chimney shaft, topped with a slate roof. The cottage has two rooms and faces east, with a stone stack that projects from the left (south) side. It is two storeys high and has a two-window front. To the right, there is an original plank door with stone voussoirs forming a flat arch. The ground floor has a three-light window on the left and two-light windows on the first floor. All windows have segmental brick arches, slate sills, and contain original cast iron casements with glazing bars arranged in a lattice pattern, featuring narrow margin panes. The roof is hipped at both ends. The interior has not been inspected.
