Description
Barnhay House is a house that probably dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and has a slate roof with gabled ends and end stacks. The building has a single depth plan that is two rooms wide, with a central entrance. There is a 20th-century two-storey addition at the right end. The exterior is two storeys high with a three-bay front featuring rusticated quoins. The central entrance has a panelled front door and is sheltered by a gabled lattice porch. The windows include 16-pane 19th-century outer sashes and a 12-pane 19th-century sash above the front door. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely that contemporary features are still present.
