Description
Higher Barracks is a building constructed in 1792 and 1867. It is made of red brick and features slate roofs. The structure is two storeys high and has sash windows, some of which are arched and include glazing bars. The north range has a hipped slate roof topped with a central cupola that houses a clock and a weathervane. The east and west ranges are notable for their first-floor iron verandahs.
