Description

The entrance wing of Devon County Prison and the pedimented wing to the rear were built in 1853 by John Hayward. This structure is made of red brick with Portland stone dressings and consists of two storeys. The entrance wing features three gate openings and two bays, while the taller pedimented section behind it has three bays. The roofs are covered with slate.
