Description
These are four stucco houses of circa 1840, located at 34-40 Wonford Road. They are three stories high and each has two windows. The houses exhibit Gothic detailing, including gables with round attic windows, bargeboards, and finials. Hoodmoulds are present over some of the windows, although some have been removed. The casement windows have Gothic lights. Splayed ground floor bays feature clustered shafts to the posts. Number 20 retains its original wooden balustrade to the bay. The vaulted porches are characterized by Tudor arches and quatrefoils within the spandrels. The roofs are slate. The buildings form a group with numbers 34 to 46.
