This is a row of 18th-century buildings on The Strand in Topsham, which have been significantly altered and modernised over time. The buildings are primarily three stories high, with the second-floor rooms accessed at a higher level, and these contribute to the buildings at 12 to 24 Monmouth Hill. Some early 19th-century detail is present, notably at number 1, which features incised pilasters. The buildings are constructed of stone and plaster. The windows and doors are mostly modern.
