Description

This is a row of 18th-century buildings on The Strand in Topsham, which have been significantly altered and modernised over time. The buildings are primarily three stories high, with the second-floor rooms accessed at a higher level, and these contribute to the buildings at 12 to 24 Monmouth Hill. Some early 19th-century detail is present, notably at number 1, which features incised pilasters. The buildings are constructed of stone and plaster. The windows and doors are mostly modern. The buildings are listed for their group value, as they form a significant group with other listed buildings along The Strand.
