Description

These are two houses, dating circa 1810. They are three storeys high and built of stucco, with prominent quoin pilasters. The front doors are set within Greek Doric doorcases and feature six-panel doors with fanlights above. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, except for those on the ground floor. Number 159 has a later addition of a balcony and a fire escape. The roofs are slate. The houses are similar in appearance to numbers 151-155 on the same street. Numbers 143 to 163 (odd numbers) and the front wall of number 147 form a group.
