Description

Nos 25 and 26 on Fore Street are 18th century structures that were refronted in the mid-19th century. They are rendered and stand three storeys tall, each featuring one window with sashes that have glazing bars, and a tripartite arrangement on the first floor. Number 25 has a moulded cornice at the second floor level. Both buildings have 19th century shop fronts, with a bayed design for No 25 that includes wrought iron ornamentation above. The buildings have a slate roof, and No 25 features a gabled dormer. No 26 boasts a good pedimented door-frame. Inside, No 25 has a newel stair that wraps around the original post. All the listed buildings on Fore Street are part of a group.
