Description

This is a late 18th-century building, originally consisting of two properties, located on Fore Street in Topsham. The building is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys high with six windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within flush frames; the windows on the far right are blind. Number 59 has a 19th-century shop front, and Number 60 features a plain door and two 19th-century sash windows. The roof is covered in slate. Interior features include a staircase. There is a suggestion of an older structure at the rear of the building. The ground floor was removed, and the building was under restoration and alteration in 1973. The listed buildings along Fore Street are considered to form a group.
