Description

26 Fore Street is a building dating from around 1805, designed in the style of Nosworthy but with significant alterations. It is constructed of red brick with stone bands and dressings. The building has three storeys and features three windows, with the top storey being an addition. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars. A Roman Doric porch has been added to the existing doorway, which is adorned with vermiculated voussoirs. The entrance includes a six-panel door with panelled reveals and a honeysuckle fanlight. The building has a parapet and a slate roof. Numbers 22 to 30 (even) form a group with this property.
