Description

28 Fore Street is a building dating from around 1805, designed in the style of Nosworthy. It is a two-storey structure with a red brick front featuring three windows, although the doorway is not centrally located. The building has patent stone bands and vermiculated voussoirs above a round-headed doorway, which includes a mask keystone. The ground floor windows are round-headed and slightly recessed within arches, with sashes that have glazing bars. There is a single-storey annexe that adds two extra windows. The entrance features a six-panel door topped with a honeysuckle fanlight. The building has a parapet and a slate roof, along with iron railings leading to the road and steps.
