Description
Nos 2 to 6 Barnfield Crescent were built in 1805 and are attributed to the architect Nosworthy. These are four-storey terrace houses featuring three windows each, with sash windows that have glazing bars. The houses are constructed of red brick and are arranged along a shallow curve. They include patent stone bands and a parapet cornice. The ground floor has recessed arcading with round-headed windows and doorways, which have plain reveals, lead fanlights, and narrow side-lights, along with six-panel doors. Two of the houses still have their original shutters. The first-floor windows are adorned with iron balconies that have segmental fronts and display an unusual and delicate design. There are area railings with two iron lamp-standards. Nos 1A and Nos 1 to 6 form a cohesive group.
