Description

A block of red brick houses dating from the early 19th century, originally comprising three storeys and attics, and three windows wide. The houses have three-light sash windows, with the central windows blind. Sliding shutters are present on the ground floors of numbers 22 and 23. Some of the original glazing bars have been removed. The doorways have round heads set in plain reveals, with altered fanlights above, and six-panel doors. Number 24 features a rebuilt front with a modern pedimented stucco doorway. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 15-28, 30-36, 38-40, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, and numbers 45, 46, and 52.
