Description

The buildings at 13 and 15 Victoria Park Road are a pair of attached houses dating from around the middle of the 19th century, with later 20th-century extensions. They are stuccoed and have a slate hipped roof, featuring a modillion eaves cornice and two small, pedimented dormers. A rendered axial stack is located at the centre.

The houses are of Italianate style. The symmetrical east front has two storeys and an attic, with the end bays slightly projected. The ground floor is rusticated, with moulded string courses and eaves. The ground floor windows are tripartite, with pilasters, a panelled apron, and recessed doorways with panelled doors and semi-circular fanlights containing radiating glazing bars. The first-floor windows are round-headed, with moulded architraves and keyblocks. All windows are sash windows, retaining their original glazing bars. Lower, two-storey extensions are set back on the south and north sides. The interior has not been inspected.

These are well-preserved mid-19th century attached houses, representing one of a group of stuccoed Italianate villas along Victoria Park Road.
