Description

There are two barns located 10 metres north and northeast of Gateshayes Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed with cob and brick walls topped by corrugated iron roofs, while retaining original roof carpentry, including principals, collars, and tie-beams that are side pegged, as well as door frames, window jambs, and lintels. The barns are arranged in an L-shaped plan and are part of a group with the farmhouse and the nearby linhay, which adds to their overall significance.
