Description

Coss Headstone, located approximately 2 metres south-east of the porch of the Church of St. Mary, is a headstone dated 1789 in memory of Alexander and Mary Ann Coss. The upright slab stands about 0.9 metres high and features a shaped head. It is inscribed with upper and lower case Roman serif lettering, recording the deaths of Alexander Coss, who died at the age of 3 in 1789, and his 1 month old sister Mary Ann, the children of Thomas and Mary Coss. The inscription includes a biblical quotation.
