Description

Tolcis House is a hall house dating from the 15th or 16th century, which has been floored and altered over time. It is constructed of coursed stone and features a slate roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. There are 19th-century sash windows and a doorway on the right side, along with a modern conservatory. To the east, there is a late 19th-century roughcast gabled wing. The house has brick ridge chimney stacks.

Inside, the central hall has three jointed cruck trusses and is now floored. The centre room on the ground floor boasts heavily moulded ceiling beams and a chamfered wooden fireplace bressummer. Additionally, there is a heavy chamfered ceiling beam in the southwest end.
