Description
This milestone, located on Hembury Hill, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of limestone and stands upright at approximately 500 millimeters tall. The milestone features a pointed head and has inscriptions on the front in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, along with Roman numerals. It indicates that it is four miles from Honiton and seven miles to Cullompton.
