Description

Drake’s Cottage is a cottage forming part of a row, likely dating from the early 18th century. It’s constructed of roughcast cob with stone footings, and has a gabled-end slate roof. The cottage has a double-depth plan and is heated by two lateral internal stacks at the rear. The front elevation has an irregular three-window arrangement; one three-light horizontally sliding sash window, dating from the 19th century, is present on each floor, with other windows being single-light and later in date. A recessed half-hipped door is also present. Fenestration to the end and rear elevations dates from the 19th and 20th centuries. Two rear doors are present, both dating from the 20th century, although one is set within a 19th-century surround. The interior has not been inspected.
