Description

Nicks Headstone is located approximately 5 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Michael. This headstone, dated 1799, commemorates Francis and Elizabeth Nicks. It is made of limestone and stands upright at about 0.7 meters high, featuring a head shaped like a bifurcated scroll. The front of the headstone is inscribed with Roman Serif upper and lower case lettering, noting the death of Francis Nicks in 1795 and his wife Elizabeth in 1799.
