Description
The lodge opposite the entrance to Salston Hotel was built in 1844 and is a two-storey structure. It features roughcast walls that are limewashed and a tiled roof. On the first floor, there is a three-light window in the gabled end facing the road, which is adorned with cusped barge boards. The ground floor has a canted splay bay casement window. A central chimney made of red brick has three shafts. The south side of the lodge includes a gabled porch with a scallop-tiled roof, pointed arch, and lancet windows. There is also a wing to the west that is designed in a similar style. This lodge, along with Salston Hotel and Salston Lodge, forms a group of buildings.
