Description
Knoll is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features two slate roofs with gabled ends. The house has a double depth plan, with the main rooms located on either side of the entrance hall and additional rooms at the back, which has a separate roof span.
The front of the house is symmetrical with a three-window arrangement. It has rusticated quoins, and the central window bay is topped with a gable that includes decorative bargeboarding. In the gable wall, there is a round-headed, two-light casement window in the attic. The first-floor windows are hornless sashes, with 16 panes in the outer windows and 12 panes in the central window. Flanking the central door are 12-pane sash windows.
A charming verandah with a tent-shaped roof features a peaked center adorned with ridge tiles and fancy bargeboarding. The verandah has a decorative fascia supported by simple posts.
