Description
Heathfield Cottage is a small, detached cottage dating to the 19th century. It is located in Woodbury Salterton. The construction is roughcast cob on a stone plinth, with a gabled thatched roof. Originally a two-room cottage, it is now a single room on the ground floor and is heated by end stacks with brick shafts. A 20th-century brick lean-to extension has been added to the rear. The front elevation has a symmetrical two-window range, featuring tall, two-light casement windows on both floors; the windows on the first floor have shallow eyebrow eaves. A central thatched porch is present. The interior contains some 19th-century carpentry. Heathfield Cottage contributes to the village streetscape and is included on the register for group value.
