Description
Hermit's House, also formerly known as Hermitage, is a structure dating from 1824 located on Slade Lane in Salcombe. It features a cell with a pointed window and doorway that have been cut out of rock. The house is accessible via a footpath from Slade House, situated in the woods just south of Slade Farmhouse. Notably, a young poet once proposed to write an epic at this location.
