Description

Numbers 1 to 3 and 4, also known as Albert House, form a row of two-storied stucco cottages built around 1840 to 1850. They have gable-ended slate roofs and a shallow eaves cornice. The front of number 4 is flanked by pilaster strips and features two windows; the other cottages each have one window. The windows are recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars. The ground floors of numbers 1, 2, and 3 have small, hipped-roof canted bays. Number 3 has a trellis porch. A modern door has been added to number 2; the others retain original six-panel doors, some of which are partly glazed. Numbers 1 to 4 (consec) Orchard Terrace, together with numbers 1 to 3 (consec) Laburnam Cottages, form a group.
