Description

The Haven is a cottage that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof, which was originally thatched, with gabled ends. The west end has a circa 19th-century extension that is at a higher level than the original structure. The cottage is two storeys tall and has a three-window range, with casements that include glazing bars. There is a stone rubble gabled porch located off centre. The building is also equipped with brick chimney stacks, one at the gable end and another ridge stack at the junction with the extension on the west end.
