Description

The Loriam headstone, dated 1674, is located approximately 4 metres west of the tower of the Church of St John in Yarcombe. This small headstone is made of limestone and stands about 400 millimetres high. It features a square head with a round-headed arch at the top, which is decorated with scrolls and supported by moulded corbels. Below the arch, the inscription is carved in crude Gothic lettering, commemorating the death of Ellinor Loriam in 1674.
