Description

The Beryamgeman Chest Tomb, located approximately 2.5 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Mary, is a chest tomb that possibly dates to 1678 and commemorates Clement Beryamgeman. It is constructed from red sandstone and conglomerate rubble for the sides, with a limestone lid. The tomb is plain in design and has nearly sunk into the churchyard. The lid features a black letter inscription that records the death of Clement Beryamgeman, although the date is barely legible and appears to be 1678.
