Description

Townend Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of cob with a stone plinth and is rendered, topped with a gabled-end slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan. The front features a three-window range, with two doors and two 2-light windows on the ground floor, and additional 2-light windows above. There are two lateral stacks at the back, one internal and one external, along with a continuous outshut to the rear. The roof of the main range has a conventional A-profile typical of the 18th or early 19th century. Townend Farmhouse adds to the character of the village scene.
