Description

Old Yew Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, or possibly the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and roughcast, topped with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, with a later one-bay addition at the west end. The windows are modern casements with leaded panes. There are end brick chimney stacks on the original part of the cottage. The central doorway is accompanied by a modern thatched roof porch. Inside, the cottage has been much restored but retains heavy stopped chamfered ceiling beams.
